The block is rectangular rather than square.
The dotted lines in the illustration indicate how the pattern sits in the area it was designed for.

Quilt Gallery Examples
- Buzzedd Nines: used this pattern in all the Buzzed Mountain Blocks - those which surround the 9 patch blocks, and those which form a border before the large cream border. The quilting pattern was used in both the cream and the blue sides of the block.
- Phoenix Rising: used this pattern in the Buzzed Mountain blocks - again in both parts of it - the black and the orange.
