Pricing

All prices are in US dollars.

For New Zealand customers using the products in New Zealand:

  • the price is GST inclusive.
  • House of Creation's GST number will be on your invoice/receipt along with the amount of GST included in your purchase.

For non-New Zealand customers:
  • no taxes apply.

Privacy Statement

As part of the order process, the following information is collected from shoppers:

  • name
  • shipping/billing address
  • email address
  • phone number
  • machine type (for quilting patterns)
  • machine number (for quilting patterns)

House of Creations does NOT share this information in any way, shape, or form with any other party.

House of Creations uses the information to fill orders or to contact purchasers if they have questions.
Also, from time to time, House of Creations may send out newsletters and/or emails with special offers, etc.   This service can be cancelled at any time.

Remember - be sure to logoff when finished - especially if using a shared computer.

Copyright Statement

House of Creations supports - to the full extent - the copyright protection afforded to each designer that works with us.

By purchasing or downloading any designs from this site you agree to the terms of copyright protection under the law, including:

  • Purchasers of digital quilting patterns are granted a limited license you to stitch out or allow to be stitched out the purchased designs on a machine which you or your business owns.
    backup copies of your designs are kept on House of Creations website - able to be downloaded as many times as you wish. - one copy of the design may be made for backup purposes but this is ONLY to be on storage devices which are totally under your control AT ALL TIMES - eg an external hard drive, a private server not connected to the internet.
    - images of the designs may be reproduced for cataloguing purposes
    - the stitched out designs are able to be displayed - both privately and publicly.
  • Otherwise, patterns(quilting, patchwork or embroidery)may not be copied, transferred, sold or given away in any manner.
  • The purchaser may use purchased designs on as many projects as desired, except for mass production or commercial selling of finished product(s).

Any violation of this is a direct infringement of copyright law - within New Zealand, United States and many other countries between which there are International Copyright Agreements.

Please note:

  • the purchase of patterns from House of Creations is NOT a license to use House of Creations patterns for teaching purposes
  • House of Creations patterns cannot be group purchased and shared between the group
  • notes downloaded from House of Creations website - while they can be dowloaded by as many people who care to, and they an be downloaded as many times as one would like to - they cannot be copied and cannot be used as class notes (or similar).
  • notes and patterns distributed during class cannot be copied and are for the use of class students only - either in or out of class.

Please acknowledge the pattern designer on your projects and with your customers wherever possible.
We would love to hear about and see photos or your work - just to see what gets done with the patterns.   We would especially appreciate being told about any quilts which have won prizes with House of Creations designs on them.

Exceptions to rules: (as there often are!)

  • If you do want to use the designs for mass production or commercial selling of finished product(s) please contact House of Creations for permission in this regard.   Each copyright holder (usually the designer) will have their own policy and if permission is granted, it will be in writing.
  • If you wish to purchase patterns for more than one quilting machine (which you or your business owns) - please contact House of Creations.
  • Permission to use House of Creations patterns and notes for teaching will only rarely be given - and then it will be in writing and with conditions attached.

Payment

Secure payments are made through PayPal.
You do not have to sign up through Paypal - but can be 'a guest' and use them as a gateway for processing your credit card.
Credit card or bank account information is never passed on to House of Creations.

Delivery Method and Time

Quilting Patterns:
All quilting patterns are in digital format supplied according to the file type and appropriate machine type as selected by the purchaser.
Once payment has been accepted, the purchased digital files will be available from the download area located in your 'Account' page on the website.
- there may be a very slight delay before these files are available

Patchwork and Embroidery Patterns:
All patchwork and embroidery patterns are in PDF format.
Once payment has been accepted the pattern(s) will be available from the download area located in your 'Account' page on the website.

Quilts:
Once payment has been accepted, the quilt will be packaged and sent to the specified address using a Track and Trace system.   You will be notified the day it is sent, along with the tracking number.

File replacement

Copies of your files will be kept on the House of Creations website for you to retrieve at any time.

Should this not prove adequate, House of Creations will provide, at any time and at no cost, one copy of any pattern previously purchased.

Digitizing process - quilting patterns

All designs are digitised using only 3 point arcs and straight lines.   Therefore they are compatible with all machine types.

Customised Digitisation - quilting patterns

Custom design requests are always welcome and often done - but within the bounds of copyright law.   As many details as possible should be included including size, block outline, images, sketches (the more precise the better).

Two types of design service are available:

  • The pattern becomes the property of the customer.
      - it is delivered in the format(s) required (dxf,qli,cqp,iqp)
      - it will not be included and sold as part of House of Creations catalogue.
    The price is calculated at an hourly rate for the design and digitisation of the pattern.
  • The pattern becomes part of House of Creations' portfolio
      - available to any customer (including the commissioning customer) at House of Creations' regular price.
    The design is completed by House of Creations, at the expense of House of Creations.

Pattern modification - quilting designs

The purchaser may only alter patterns by using the software which operates their Longarm quilting machine.

If other modifications to a purchased pattern are required then House of Creations will happily endeavour to do this.
House of Creations will seek permission from the designer and, if obtained, the work will be completed free of charge.

Cancellation of Orders, Errors, Returns & Exchanges

All sales are final.   However, from time to time errors do occur.

Should you encounter any problems with the patterns, please send an email and it will be corrected and resent as soon as possible.
Occasionally duplicate orders are placed.

Whatever the issue - please let us know and we will work through a solution with you.
