A bit like a Christmas cracker. I have used this more than others - but I love it.
These patterns sew out individually, one at a time, with the threads needing to be tied off between repeats.
If you want the blocks to sew continuously, one to the other, go to the Cracker builder (bldr) set.
These patterns are sold as a set - as it is great to always have the desired multiple right on hand.
I have found that this pattern is not quite so forgiving as its brother 'Cracking' , but still works well.
Design Features
- these blocks are quickly placed: while the 'block' sews out as a regular block, it is placed using the point to point function.
- the registration points are at exactly half the height of the block.
- once you have determined the height you want the pattern to sew at, all you have to do is find the centre point at each end.
- on this pattern, the registration point has been set at the tip of the sash.
It can therefore also be placed as a regular block. - points at 'cornerstone' intersections meet perfectly (and isn't this what is always noticed - especially if they don't!)
