Emma LeMoyne sq $12.00 USD
This pattern was specifically designed to fit into a LeMoyne Star which had been placed into a square. However, it would look just as good in a regular square.
It was also designed for a very small block - just 5¾", so the quilting lines are few.
The pattern has also been adapted for squares with LeMoyne stars and Ohio stars - each being slightly different.
Design Features
- the main design areas are well within the seam lines so there is quite some 'wiggle' room allowed for
- where there is any crossing or meeting of quilting lines, this is also done in places where if is not noticeable if everything does not quite line up
Tips & Info
- this was drafted as an 8" block with a .25" margin
- for other size blocks multiply the finished block size by .03125 to get the technical margin size - but remember to AUDITION
- for those who need to know .03125 is .25" divided 8" - Audition results: when the block was just 5¾", the margin technically went down to .18 of an inch
- but it did not look good that small. The block could tolerate a .22 of a margin and looked better for it
