This pattern is for a smaller LeMoyne Star.
While it is drawn for a 45 degree diamond, adjusting the height it also fits into a 60 degree one - or for that matter any diamond.
So it is most versatile and can be used in 6 pointed, 8 pointed, etc stars as well as the 8 pointed one it was designed for!

Also - three 60 degree diamonds can be joined together into a tumbling block, or if you have a large hexagon register the p2p in every second corner.
By being very tricky, and making the height incredibly high the design can be made to run continuously around 8 pointed and 6 pointed stars. In fact in will work in any star shape - so long as the widest part of the star arm is halfway down.
So for those of you that have 5 pointed stars - this will do the job!
