Fish Hook hst (2)gp_002657$9.00 USD
This is a design suitable for smaller triangles - especially those along the sides of Flying Geese blocks.
This is reminiscent of bone fish hooks made by early Maori.
I had a little play with this pattern, and the last image shows it being used in both the side triangles and the main triangle. Works well in both positions!
Design Features
two patterns are given so that both the top and bottom triangles can be completed with out having to do any flipping. They are designed so that both can be registered from the base of the Flying Geese block to the top.
Tips & Info
if the quilt is one the machine so that all the Flying Geese fly from side to side - then these triangles are quickly registered - and many can be sewn with only one start and stop.
this pattern works well with a variety of main triangle designs - see the additional images for some ideas.
