A wavy design forming ribbons right across (or down) a quilt - but this combination also forms diamonds.
This pattern is sold in 3 lengths - 42", 63" and 80". This means that you can more easily keep the design proportions by selecting the multiple nearest to the width needing to be stitched.
If stitched at the design size the gap between the widest part of the diamonds (in red on the illustration) is just under 1.25" and the width of the widest part of the ribbon strand is just under .5".
The illustration shows part of a repeated design - enlarged so that you can see more clearly how it is going to appear if the proportions remain as designed.
Saying all that - it can still be compressed and expanded quite happily - this gives very nice results.
The pattern is four passes across the quilt - forming two rows of ribbons, giving one row of diamonds.
