Clamshell swirls p2p $12.00 USD
A very twirling design fitting into a clamshell block.
The design reminds me very much of wallpaper patterns - those from very long ago as well as more recent days - in other words, timeless.
This pattern does not have an arc going across the top of it, which makes it much easier to fit into an actual clamshell block.
I have included these as edge to edge patterns as well - they would look just so striking! Just set them up as offset rows and make the spacing negative half the length of the repeat. Then all one has to do is some trimming at each end of every second row.
Design Features
- the first registration point is at the base of the clamshell which is where the two clamshells from the previous row meet.
- second registration point is in the middle of the top arc of the clamshell - which just happens to be the base of the next - both are easy to find.
- the pattern does not go right out to the edges of the clamshell - which allows for an ease of fit. The dotted lines show how the pattern fits into the shape (the needle does not travel on this line.
Tips & Info
- if the clamshell is 4 inches across, this pattern has one quarter inch margin around it - a smaller clamshell and you will have a smaller margin. If you want something different, please do not hesitate to contact me.
