This triangle - while it can be used as a regular p2p triangle, has been specifically formated for a Hunter's Star block
Based on the Circles on Rollers triangle pattern - it has been reformatted to fit into a particular proportioned Hunter's Star block - with the pattern which fits into the diamonds at each end of the triangles - coming together to form an interesting secondary pattern.
PROPORTIONS are all important - do check you have the correct one!
Design Features
- designed to fit
- a 7" block using the petit Rapid Fire Hunter's Star petit ruler - a Deb Tucker tool from Studio 180 Design (this block uses a 1.25" finished strip width across the base of the triangles).
- and a 10" block using the large Rapid Fire Hunter's Star ruler - a Deb Tucker tool from Studio 180 Design (this block uses a 1.75" finished strip width across the base of the triangles)
The proportions of both of these blocks are exactly the same. - there are a myriad of other proportioned blocks - and if you need this pattern to be adjusted to one of these then contact me. If you are going to do custom quilting, I am more than happy to get it as good as possible for you!
- when sewn into a 10 inch block the margin is set at .25 inches, and when sewn into a 7 inch block the margin is .17 inches.
- to help determine the proportions of your Hunter's Star here are some block outlines. Download them, do a border around your block on the machine and see which outline fits best.
