Beaded Chevron p2psu (3) $18.00 USD
Beads, circles and lines - all combined together to give a satisfying texture to chevron designs.
This has been designed to replicate as closely as possible free motion techniques - where you do not see obvious 'repeat' blocks - and in this case it means one repeat has to encroach on another. A bit tricky - but nothing a Statler Stitcher cannot easily handle.
Use the Start pattern for the first p2p, then as many repeats as required across the quilt, and then an End one to finish.
Design Features
- there are complete circles both at the very tip and in the deepest part of the valley in this pattern.
- there are no part circles to match between repeats
- the p2p function is used for placement - where the * is shown in the illustration.
- there are no lines on the outer edge of the design - avoiding any difficulties resulting from 'creative piecing' and giving a much better finished product.
- INTELLIQUILTERS: this pattern will revert to a p2p one, with the registration points in funny places.
Quilt Gallery Examples
- Chevron Heaven: used this inside the Spike chevron rows.
- Whatever Happened to the 50s?: used this pattern in the white row between the pale blue and red rows.
Tips & Info
- to ensure the best results, line up your quilt as square as possible across the machine.
- I have not been able to get these patterns to sew without stopping between the repeats. I set the machine so that there are not tie offs and just have to click OK a couple of times between these repeats.
