Chic Fan Shells b p2p $15.00 USD
Well - I thought I was finished with all the Chic Shell patterns I was
going to do - but I had running in the background of my mind that some
quilters do not like their machine running into the same place too many
times - but I loved the effect of my Chic Fan Shells pattern. Then
suddenly it dawned on me that I could move out the centre lines - just
slightly from each other. The overall effect would still be similar, but
there would not be that much stitching down in the point. So - here it
is: a variation on the original Chic Fan Shells pattern.
This pattern was designed to fit into the clamshells made by using the
Quick Curves ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful - and their pattern Chic
Shells. To go to their

The illustrations to the left are some images from Sew Kind of
Wonderful's blog. This pattern was initially drawn as a design for the background block and there is an image showing how that would look. I have also illustrated how the design would look over the pieced blocks as well.<br>
Tips & Info
- please note: this clamshell pattern is a different proportion to traditional clamshell patterns - the design is not interchangeable
- some times there is some fullness where the curves come together - but there is an allowance for a bit of movement in this area.
