LeMoyne Star with Applique
Judy Simcock, Cornerstone Creations Machine Quilting, Bordertown, AustraliaJudy and I had fun trying to work out what sort of design would work in the wonderful large white areas. What we finally came up with certainly worked very well, and then Judy's free-motion feathers along the stemlines certainly worked a treat - bringing all the more formal designs together. Her stippling then served to highlight it all.
This is such a wonderful quilt - with its mix of piecing, applique and quilting.

- Inner corners on corners of quilt: Feather corner fancy lg
- Outer 4 corners and remaining inner corners: Feather corner plain lg
- in the odd white areas: Feather 1 tri b
