January Roses
Amelia Poore-Bone, Quilting Creations by Amelia, Lake Jackson TexasAmelia waited so patiently to get some designs out of me for this quilt!
The rosebud block has worked well, with each of the large 4 patches having two rosebuds each.
In the outer blocks Amelia chose to go with a co-ordinating border pattern - one which could be placed using the p2p function.
She then had fun in the sashes - choosing one which gave the effect of having a central dividing line running along its length - just what was needed for the framing/sashing that each of the 4 patch blocks had.
Quilting Patterns Used
- Main 4 patch blocks: Rosebud wreath sq
- Half blocks for the sides, and quarter blocks for the corners: Rosebud bdr & cnr a (2)
- Sashes - the x7 and x3 multiples used: Cone bldr (3)
