Hexagons - Kathy's

Kathy was saying these same words to me about a hexagon top she had pieced using jelly rolls. This piecing technique meant that there was a hexagon within a hexagon - a format which I had not really thought about before. So it challenged me to do a design which would showcase each area. I did a series of designs and was thrilled when Kathy chose the one I liked the most - I really wanted to see what it looked like once quilted out.
From Kathy: "This is my first-ever solo attempt at p2p. It's not perfect but I think it is pretty darn good,due in large part to how nicely your pattern 'works.' I'm having great fun!

It does look fabulous. Kathy went on to show this at the exhibition associated with SUGAR2015 and it hung proudly there, with many positive comments about it being overheard. I was delighted to see it 'in the flesh' - always better than photos show. Thank you Kathy.
