Irish Chain - Double, Quatro
Janice Bahrt, Wee Bee Quilting, Sun City, AZWhat an honour indeed for me:- Janice made this quilt just so she could use my Quatro designs! And what a quilt - a fabulous example of how the quilting can give a modern twist to a very traditional patchwork pattern.
The colours she has used are very strong - the darkness of the black, the plusating red, and then the starkness of the white.
The larger white areas show up the quilting just so well, giving maximum textural effect.
Janice opted for minimal quilting in the chain area - just elegant straight lines.
Her living room is designed in reds, blacks and grays. She has decided that 'modern is her new thing', so this is just perfect!
