Each little star sits in its own little hexagon which all nest neatly into each other.

Sue used just the one quilting design for this quilt - and where they meet together there is a lovely secondary design - with flower heads being in all the white areas.

Sue chose not to do any quilting in the purple border areas - but should she have wished to there are designs available.

With her Statler Stitcher Sue was able to use the p2p function to place the designs, with sizing and rotational issues being sorted out on the fly by the machine.
