4 Point Stars using triangles
Sharon Perry - sampleThis was stitched out as a class sample - illustrating just what could be done with p2p triangles.
Only regular right angled (90 degree) triangles have been used - but look what can be achieved when you control for height!
- in the cream area the triangle height has been decreased.
- in the inner star points where they all meet together, they have been left as regular triangles,
- on the outer parts of the star points the same pattern as on the inner the triangle's height has been increased by a large proportion.

Using the same triangle for both the inner and outer part of the star itself means that it co-ordinates together well, but it would be fun to experiment with different triangles as well, to see the different effects you can achieve.
Quilting Patterns Used
- around the outer edge of the star: Kites tri b p2p
- in the star itself: Jocelyn tri c p2p
